Bryan McSweeny was born and raised in Brockton,Massachusetts and began actively taking photos while a student at Bowdoin College in Maine.His interest expanded while he was stationed with the US Army in Germany where he had an opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe during a four year tour of duty.While living in Mannheim,he also learned darkroom and printing techniques at the US Army Photo Lab.Most of his travel photos taken during that period were from his Nikon F camera with lenses from 19mm to 105mm in focal length.Just before leaving Germany he purchased a Leica M-3 rangefinder camera with a 50mm Summicron lens.Since that time he has worked almost exclusively with Leica products including presently the Leica M10 rangefinder for general photography and landscapes and the S-2 Medium format DSLR with 120MM macro lens for sailing and sports.

He uses Dell Precision Computers and Adobe Lightroom and Nik Software to archive and process his photos. 

His printer is an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 and his stock paper is Museo Portfolio Rag 300g.

He lives year round in Marion,Massachusetts overlooking Buzzards Bay.
